Portrait of Leonilla, Princess of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn, by Franz Xaver Winterhalter
ElidethAbreu

**Nostalgia’s Embrace**

Hands entwined, a bittersweet embrace,
A longing gaze, etched with absent grace.
Like ivy serpents, writhing 'round my soul,
Memories ignite, a past made whole.

Your fingers, a gentle caress upon my skin,
A symphony of whispers, longing to begin.
Passions flared, like embers in the night,
Illuminating shadows, chasing away the fright.

The scent of violets lingered in the air,
As our bodies swayed, a graceful, entranced pair.
Time stood still in that enchanted hour,
Lost in a dream, beyond all sense of power.

But now, only echoes of our love remain,
Like haunting melodies that fill the rain.
A bittersweet refrain, nostalgia’s song,
Aching in my heart, a poignant, tender throng.
