the end is near
how do you tell them
he steps out the back door and sits on the step
stairng at the concrete which is broken and wet
he stairs into space trying to work out why
and how he tells his family he is about to die
his thoughts are all mixed from sadness and care
what will they say or feel or how will they dispare
he has told them he is leaving for work far away
and is sorry he is leaving but be leaving the next day
as he wipes his eyes quickly so no one notice him cry
as he carnt bring himself to tell them his works just a lie
perhaps they wont find out until the very last days
and there lives still be normal just like in a normal way
as his breathing gets bit heavy and his back really hurts
he jumps in the front seat and flies down the dirt
so when the day comes along it will be a shock
but least he will no there last few days were not rocked.
