What’s that aroma, honey
Comin’ from the kitchen?
She replied with some extra-hot
Ingredients to mention:
Half a cup of sugar
Whole cup of lovin’
I wanna see what my baby’s
Cookin’ in her oven
Sweeten with your icing
Moistening, and rising
Time to blow out my candle
It’s getting too hot to handle
Spreading love all over it
With your cozy oven mitt
Licking fingers clean of frosting
Sticky fingers, sticking softly
Flour’s in your hair
We’re leavin’ crumbs everywhere
Now, your cake needs righted
It’s a little lop-sided
Temperature’s risin’
The timer was timin’
Can’t wait until I bite it
But, we got too excited
Forgot to peek and take a look
I think we’re getting over-cooked
Now, it’s too late
For me to pound that cake
And, your cake is out of hand
...I just don’t understand
The icing on this cake
Says “Dean”, not Dan!!!
