When bad things happen "just keep swimming..."
My charger is in my other bag.
My phone is going dead.
Those shoes I needed are broken.
And now you broke my bed!
I guess that’s life!
My perfect dress is missing.
My bank account just froze.
That water you just drank was mine.
And now you threw away my rose!
I guess that’s life!
My innocence is gone.
My judging mind is keen.
Everything you told me is still a
Waiting to be seen!
I guess that’s life.
My car broke down.
My rent is due.
My window broke.
And now you tell me I’m fired too!
I guess that’s life.
My books are selling.
My poems are being read.
My words don’t stop flowing or going through my head.
And now I’m truly okay.
Huh, go figure that’s life!
