I remember when,
you would come to me for everything.
How I was the smile on your face,
I was the reason your voice would sing.
I remember when,
I could trust you with my life.
When our love was as clear
as the tip of a knife.
I remember how,
you called me at 3am,
and we would talk for ages,
just because we can.
I remember how,
you would clear the tears off my face,
and make me smile through the pain.
How you sent me on such a chase..
See, even though I remember,
how I felt so strongly about you,
I remember the power of friendship,
that held so strong, so true.
I remember when
you were my best friend.
I wish I knew what happened,
so it wouldn’t have to end.
I remember when
I used to know who you were.
But the distance is so great,
I’m afraid there is no cure.
I remember when
I had a clue.
Now, I’m just not sure....
I don’t know what happened to me and you.
