EXCITEMENT!

By Stanley Collymore

What precisely is this very
distinctively and literally
discernibly so, clearly
universal experience evidently
so, routinely engaged in by all
elements of humanity, simply
and naturally with each other
in totally and unquestionably
solid agreement and literally
likewise is crucially, patently
laudably, unequivocally, and
fondly supportively referred
to, and equally welcomingly
lauded also as excitement?

Very obviously it’s really an
experience that’s derived
from numerous origins;
and consequently comes in many
forms; anything, quite essentially
it could genuinely be individually
claimed and as one might really
believe, the exciting experience
truly obtained from them falling
genuinely in love, and crucially
for the first time to being more
macabrely grateful that a very
odious ogre, in one’s own life,
whether overtly personally so
or aptly, more philosophically
in political terms is ultimately
dead and consequently with
their departure, will similarly,
and enduringly be forgotten.

But whether stimulated, and
even lengthily sustained by
good, or bad experiences
within our own life, or equally also
understandably the lives of those
who are quite irrefutably nearest,
dearest, and very precious to us;
excitement, whether of a strictly,
individual nature; quite diffused,
or malevolently brought on, and
rather unintelligently but, all the
same, essentially self-servingly
maliciously vibrantly sustained
and evidently too, for the most
egregious of selfishly, toxically
and obnoxious reasons: as for
instance awful racism, sexism
and peremptory classism, will
either admirably or regrettably
within their actual or regarded
situations constantly carry on.

Author's Remarks:
Excitement is generally categorized as personal feelings characterized by a feeling of great enthusiasm and eagerness. All well and good that when the catalyst for it is unquestionably driven by commendable or even altruistic, notions motives or intentions. But we all of us, possessed with functioning brains in our heads and who fully know how to use them, that such motives or actions do not pertain to or in any way constitutive the everyday lives of many people within our own communities and even more significantly and unfortunately egregiously so our own countries, where the abusers are invariably the very ones determining how decent people - a terminology that doesn’t even remotely apply to themselves – should, or even as far as they themselves are arrogantly concerned, live our own lives.
