The Ageless Blight (Poem on Fear)
The unchanging and ever eternal phenomenon of fear.....
A shadow within shadows
tis the last savored breath before the fight
a steel bird of doom before taking flight
the last glimpse of a screaming stars fall from sight
ever a growing darkness where once was light
the hands disjoined, when long held tight
a noise of terror thru a terror-less night
of these we sing of these do we weep
ill and ire of the remembered burn
into that we dream within our sleep
astonishment and shock to worriment and concern
knelling, yet infused with wonder and awe
wickedness, dread and confusion turn
to find in both perfection and flaw
sorrow and woe, to tear flesh from bone
to see then not fathom what you saw
each emotion belonging only to their own
until ably infected by fear made raw
then each emotion is joined by that alone
by latching itself upon the mind, it feeds parasitic
thru a populace uproots calm, and of security decays
entering the mouth, withering lips and exits as a plague
to an empowered sculptor we are but clay
yes it is of these we so solemnly write
the timeless fangs, the ancient bite
perhaps even often the unexpected delight!
or a necessity when from the dark design comes light
yet to the countless a curse to man’s fragile might
of this fireless fire do we ignite
the scourge of fear, the ageless blight.

This is my straight and simple poem on fear .....fear is ageless and ancient and eternal...and this is my take on it...for fear can be seen and taken in many ways
Note ** all my poems are copyrighted and have codes to prove ownership ... While I doubt anyone here does this ..still have to say Don't steal other people's work wether a poem is good enough or not .... It's personal and directly speaks from the soul of the writer and to take their work and say it's yours ..it's wrong and unnatural ..your stealing a peice of them ...it's nothing to do with money or rights...it's so much more than that...its happened to me .. It can happen to anyone .. It hurts and I always speak out against it even if to most it seems pretentious...
