Here’s to a lady
who’s gentle and fair,
and sweet and lovable
as a teddy bear.
A lady who’s appealing
and very smart,
a lady with a huge
compassionate heart.
A lady with
enormous abilities,
and not a single
ounce of hostilities.
A lady who sparks
inspiration,
a lady who deserves
our admiration.
A lady who loves
to look her best,
a lady who’s lucky
and is blessed.
But just here lately
she’s seen a rough time,
and from that place
she must climb.
And she can do it
I have no doubt,
because she’s focused
and she’s stout.
And I’m hoping she don’t hurt
and that she don’t worry,
and I’m praying that she gets well
and in a hurry.
