A poem for fun! 9/20/20
When you really grow old, I will be older LOL. Thanks for the fun read.
We’re getting there, but not quite yet. I hope that in spirit we’ll always be young. I agree with Vic. It was fun to read.
Thanks Charlotte, I do think there are some things that do not age and that is the love in our heart !
You may not know what you’ll do next: Hit the open road With your thumb stuck out. Give up all you own
What if, The simple things In life, were the Most important Events.
One year since I traveled to paradise. One year since I laughed and danced with friends. One year since I watched
Walking on the beach of long ago, the constant roll of the gulf, it’s sound, like a lullaby.
The red cardinal high in a tree, caught my attention with his melodious chirp on my daily walk.
Life is not fair at times... But of course things Change quickly down the line, We are born into a No guarantee world.
Just a small part of me wants strife to go away, to return to a kinder time. Am I just losing courage? Life is draining me,
Unable to be all things For all people, Perhaps at one time, I tried. Those days are
Looking at my journal’s Blank page While geese fly by and honk A greeting. The red cardinals
Cold spring rain chills my body And yet, the birds fly in unison As if, it is a sunny day. The white tail deer Bounce through the ravine
Autumn wind Brings scattered leaves, Splattered, With red and gold. Autumn wind
Not a word heard As the river flows Over rock, around Banks that lie Waiting for visitors.
White heron skidding the blue, grey water, of the bay. How free and easy you make it look,
Soft gray clouds pass slowly by, Soon they will release a gift of r… Trees are shedding their leaves As they turn red, orange and yello… Signaling the squirrels to collect…
Rolling painted deserts of the west. Shrub bushes dot sloping hillsides. Relentless sun heats up
