I Will Not Cry

Red, yellow and orange leaves
Fall quickly now
And create a tapestry of color
That fill my mind
With joy.
Another season is passing
Another year has gone.
Red, yellow and orange
Rays of the sunset
Grace the cloudy sky
That fill my spirit
With light.
Another season is passing
Another year has gone.
The air is crisp,
Sounds of geese honking
As if to say good-bye
As they soar south
Across the autumn sky.
Another season is passing
Another year has gone,
I will not cry.

I Love Autumn, it's always too short, I hate to see it end.

Me too, it’s so beautiful with all of its rich, beautiful colors. I never thought of it but the birds are probably saying goodbye, and are sad to see it go, just like us. ( smile ) Spring and Fall are just the best, and most beautiful seasons to me.

@Charlotte B. Williams Same here, thanks for reading and liking Charlotte and enjoy this beautiful Fall!

👍👍

@Francis Thanks Francis for liking, hope your are enjoying Fall.

Barb, your poems remind me of haiku, they have the same simplicity and beauty to them. I can feel the nature around so vividly when I read them.

@Olga Gavrilovskiy, thanks Olga, thanks for liking.
