Luna pirates (chapter 2-1)

Captain Luna sat with Bart
pressing him;
how’d you manage this little slip?
you were once my savvy knight
but, you looked dead by the time
my suits and I arrived
tell me Bart, are you okay?
where’s the gifted dog I trained?
they stole your wealth and sullied our names
are you get back up and take your claim?
would you prefer I end you now?
you’ve obtained an unhealthy shake and
all of your recent failures
have smeared my new campaigns
Bart glared back at Luna
a broken man
intimidated by the captain
triggered by their reunion
he asked;
who are you, to drench me in spit?
you’ve abandoned your old captains
to set sail with these misfits?
you refer to them as suits
but, you gave titles to your old crew
handing us mighty ships
granted us naval ranks
and when tragedy struck, you ran from us
abandoned your captains, shattered our trust
cut us deep, like a cutlass to the gut
now I find you here, rushing to my aid
tell me, what will this cost me, my lady?
storming from the captain’s quarters
slamming the curtain behind her
the captain barked her many orders
to sail the brigantine though the seas
a journey of 30 days, at least
setting sail for an unmarked cave
45 kilometers off the eastern coast
a volcanic Caribbean chamber
still unknown to most
returning to her quarters
to deal with her friend Bart
he looked tired and insulted
she knows she’d pressed him hard
she tried softening her tone
but, the words spilled out
volume, louder than a megaphone;
we’re heading home
I’ve decided to bring you along
you will sail with me again
your responsible for the task
of co-commanding these ten men
there are no decisions here
take the deal or be tossed to the sea
I’ll restore your fame and glory
if you train these landlubbers for me
unsure of many details
Bart was actually quite relieved
to be again in the company
of the greatest thief in all the seas
he decided to take the deal
as he passed out from exhaustion, he relayed;
I’m here for you, my lady
to serve you once again
Captain Bart faded to black
while Luna’s crew raised the masts
headed for “Rainbow Cave”
a trip of about 30 days
from the Newfoundland coast
to the Caribbean volcano
that Luna claimed as a post
with her previous crew 8 years ago
