As they lie in wait for that
Inopportune moment

They prey on:
Your insecurities, your fears, your weaknesses....
They poke & prod
Tease & mock
Humiliate, ridicule & put you down
Spouting & spewing
ANGRY.
VICIOUS.
POISONOUS.
MALICIOUS.

Shredding Through Your Core
Penetrating Your Walls
And Ripping, Tearing,
Limb from limb...
Piece by piece...
To tell YOU,
That you are not worthy
Of THEM.
They FEED of your
Insecurities.....
Fears.....
And Weakness....
And Laugh. In. Your. Face.
They do not know
The insecurities that plague your mind
The fears that hold a iron grip on your heart
And the weaknesses that bring you to your knees, as you lose control of your body.
They do not know at all.
And at the end of the day
When they head to their respective homes.........
They will never know.....
The tears you shed endlessly
As you curled into a fetal position
Sobs wracking your body
Unable to move or breathe.
They will never know
Your body that weakened, trembling
As you stumbled into the bathroom
Letting the seering heat of waterdrops
Pounding on your delicate soft skin,
Burning until there was nothing left to feel but a sharp stinging pain.
And they will never know,
The steps you took, as you breathed your last breath
Sighed your last sigh
Turning within yourself searching for a shred of hope, salvation & redemption
With unstable shaking hands as you picked up the bottle of little white and blue pills
Your eyes hazy and blurry
As you make what you are sure is your final decision.....
But they see you return the following day
With the same demeanor with which you came
And nobody see’s the pain
As they all judge.
