My bucket had a hole in it.
I kept trying to fill it.
The more I tried,
the more flowed down the drain.
It wasn’t for lack of what was needed.
Of that there was abundance,
which had been here all along.
The bucket had a hole in it.
Whatever was I to do ?
One day an old man suggested;
“Fix the dang bucket, son!”
"Eureka!" I cried;
"What a novel idea!"
Now my bucket is fixed.
and what was needed to fill it,
still in abundance,
has accumulated.
One drop at a time
One day at a time
Soon there was enough to drink heartily.
Before long, I could attend to daily needs.
One day I could share with my fellows.
Today, my bucket runneth over.
