Intertwined

Fingers intertwined
They stroll along a beach
White sand, deserted in late afternoon

Their dark silhouettes
Racing quickly ahead of them
Behind them, the sun sets in the horizon

Fingers intertwined
They peer into each other’s eyes
And they could see into each other’s soul

Words are unnecessary
For their minds ever in harmony
As always, their hearts beat out of control

Fingers intertwined
Neither wanting to let go
So, together they’ll be till the end of time

Love binds them together
Through the good times and the bad
In stormy weather or in sunny clime

Fingers intertwined
They walk through life
Shoulder to shoulder, never far apart

Partners for life
Be it in dreams or their every day
And for a lifetime, they have but one heart!
