"If there is meaning in life at all, then there must be a meaning in suffering. Suffering is an ineradicable part of life, even as fate and death. Without suffering and death human life cannot be complete."
~Viktor E. Frankl
I wrote this poem ten years ago. I wasn’t happy with it so I stored it in my “trash” bin for revisiting down the road. I looked at it recently and reworked some of the phrases and verses I didn’t like at that time. I’m satisfied with it now and so I have posted it. But the question I still ask, why hold on to life when life doesn’t bring you happiness and satisfaction? Why hold on to it when all life gives you is pain and suffering?
