Boulevard

I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Where the city sleeps
And I'm the only one, and I walk alone

All alone walked I
Along the wide boulevard
Road potholed and scarred
Moonbeams are the only light
There’s nobody else on sight

Tall trees line the road
Shadows move, the leaves rustling
With the breeze blowing
I shiver in the cold air
But I wanted to be there

Just like now, twas a dark night
That first I saw my true love
Her sweet face bathed by moonlight
A moment dreams are made of

Been ten years today
Her car broke down on this road
In the dead of night
I hurried to her corner
A knight in shining armor

Born a love affair
That have lasted many years
Joy though many tears
Deep intense beyond compare
Exquisite romance most rare

So tonight I walk alone
To recreate that picture
Her face lit; her hair wind-blown
In my mind not a flicker

Suddenly a screeching car
Revving down deserted street
Stopped behind me not too far
Then I heard a voice so sweet

Yes, she remembered tonight
My heart glowing outtasight!
Her sweet face lit by moonbeams
In boulevard of my dreams!
