A Circular Path

“And now try to follow me, because I'm gonna be moving in a kind of circular motion, so if you pay attention, there will be a point!”
George Huang, Swimming with Sharks

I met a lady once, walking around a sport’s arena
Quite upset that she’s going the wrong way
I smiled, said hello, and reassured her:
“It may take longer, but you’ll get there, don’t dismay!”

That’s the truth about our earthly existence
Life’s a circular path from birth to death
Frequently we lose our way; suffer disappointments
Bumps on the road, till we’ve drawn our last breath
But in the end, we’ll get to where we want to be
Even when the road often times go underneath!

Yes! Life can be a drag; and full of disappointments
We often think we have a lion’s share of miseries
But then again, failures and moments of sadness
Make us appreciate more all of life’s daily victories!

A tear shed in sadness begets a smile
When we’ve conquered grief and ended our sorrow
The heart, although broken in many pieces
Recover it will; and be full of joy in the morrow!
The longer winding path, most of us will opt to take
But it’s never the wrong way; that much we know!
