A solid color,
An emotionless expression,
A face staring right at you,
But giving off nothing.
That stare has seen many things:
Life to death,
Birth to murder.
That stare has been forced to keep its mouth shut
From the fear of the judgmental society.
That stare does not want to give off any emotion
So that people do not even worry.
That stare is the one that holds the truth
That it has been through too much
And it’s blocking the entire world out.
That stare is the result
Of a distorted mind.
That stare is one of loneliest, most hurt ones
That you can ever see.
It looks at the world with no color;
It tries to,
But it can’t.
Everything is black and white.
The weird thing is,
That stare masks itself with fake emotion
Just so that no one will see through the disguise.
And it always succeeds.
