Slowly
Eyes wide open
Shut
Repetitive ease
Somehow I know tides crashing foaming flood
Rocks chatter against the pull of tides
Somehow I know nothing is as it seems
Hot sand scolding toes
Creeping tide cools
Pulling deep chattering stones
Today and the next
No matter at all
The sun will rise and stars will fall
Slowly
Soothing repetitive ease
Contrasting color
Reminders of what may come tomorrow
Nothing is as it seems
Love for the sun and stars
Cannot stop the rain falling
Tides crashing
Come tomorrow
Sand will still scold toes
As tides pull deep
There is no rest
There is no sleep
The tide is pulling
Pulling deep
