SWEET BABY’S BREATH

Sweet baby of hers
Asleep on her shoulder,
She holds her close
As you drift in slumber,
She dreams of days
And years to come—
The treasure love holds
For you, little one.
Your warm baby’s breath
Is so “tender sweet”—
With slow sleepy rhythm
As you dream away, dream.
She cradles your hand
In her own and prays
Love’s blessings on you,
And she thanks him each day—
For the lessons of life
They’ll learn from each other;
T’will be her blessing
To treasure forever.
