FIREWORKS IN THE NIGHT

Across the valley from high on a mount,
The shadows flicker and lights dance.
As the glow from the cities inflames the sky,
Her adoration of life is enhanced.

As she continues to gaze at the splendor of the night,
She notices the cost of the moon to her side,
Upon a blue pond just like crystal or glass.
The ripples therein give the moonbeams a ride.

While bedazzled by moonshine, reflections she sees,
Of the stars from above as they shimmer and shine.
A sprinkle of glitter on a canvas of black,
A portrait of brilliance both serene and sublime.

All at once she eyewitnesses a shooting star,
Just like the fireworks on display.
Illumination of creation
