White Dyed Roses

Three roses lean in a vase,
One blue, one red, one yellow.
3 buckets sit on the wooden floor,
Paintbrushes immersed in dye.
The smallest paintbrush is dipped
Into black dye, and swims across
Bright blue petals.
It leaves laced dots and crocheted patterns,
intricately enough to not believe. It runs a marathon
from where powdered nectar lies, to where dark green slants,
cutting off all supplies for the dark beauty.
A Q-Tip is produced from a bucket of gray dye,
and shades the brightest parts of the yellow rose.
The finished piece is like looking at the sun
breaking through dark rain clouds, after raining for hours.
When the only rose left is red, the white paint is used.
No paintbrush, nor Q-Tip can be used
to cover every surface spot and crevasse within the rose,
so it sits in the bucket of dye, soaking in every bit of brightness it can.
A white dyed red rose is left, showing that all masks can be discovered.
