Family…I love you
What is Family? Those who are close and dear to us, that share the velvet red blood that runs through our veins.
But is family a right or privilege? I call you mine and you call me yours, but I see more though I am young. I see the fakeness of the smiles, the prejudice behind the laughs and the two sides of the soul.
You call yourself family but in reality you are a shadow. The dark shadow that follows all of our lives. Even if we may not see it at first, slowly but surely as the Christmas gatherings, family reunion, parties, and holidays collect; in my mind I see the patterns.
I see the darkness of the shadow increase because I notice the patterns. The patterns tell the truth because they are the reality we wish not to exist but is there anyways. It is painful to watch others extend love out to those who take it for granted, but they are family right?
