Words

Words go out and either soothe or rile another’s spirit.  The damage has been done or friendship has been won.  Our minds with their good intentions establishes the truth, but the absence of thought distorts it.  Begging for forgiveness is not enough, because the words already damaged a part of the bond that was built up before the words came out.

Friendship is built on no words at all, but a silent deepening of the spirit.  If we should talk, we should let the spirit within us move our lips and direct our tongues, for deep inside are beautiful well chosen words that are anxious to be let out.  We have to be careful to select the proper words to be spoken.
