Thesaurus Man

Thesaurus Man, here before his time,
With worlds locked inside wordly rhyme,
Like finely tuned machines pouring out,
Words with meaning and feelings about,
Words that tell beautiful stories and such,
Short stories in epic proportions so much,

Sharing stories out of the womb to the pen,
The only request to be by your ears to lend,
With a bevy of words ingrained in thought,
Harbingers sent forth what heaven brought,
When betimes of growing years ‘til today,
Stories are refined as you go out and play.

Jealousy prevails for the not so early one,
With no words to write when they were young.
As the years mounted and zoomed on ahead,
Too little time to say what needs to be said.
Thesaurus Man of too many words to say,
Too many words are what I need on display.
I wish I were like you of so many words.
I curse you, envy you, love you, and need you.

I used to discredit people who use big words to communicate. Now I envy them.
