The Religion of Ignorance
Religion tames the savage beast in man and pulls on the reins of aggression. Without it, civilization would not exist. As long as the spirit of God reigns in the soul, man has his savage and aggressive desires under control. Together they form the conscience, the home of religion.
Religion formed when man had to think of a way to bring mankind to acknowledge the spirit of God within him. It grew out of goodness, but then branched out into other religions and resulted in contention against one another. They all revere God, but have different ways to confirm their reverence. They become more attached to their beliefs than their love of God, the manifestation of their beliefs.
They are in contention with the others’ beliefs. If they didn’t know what they were, they would have no grounds to be in contention. All they would do is retain their positive thoughts and love for all humanity. Through their ignorance, they would keep living inside the Grace of God.
The afterlife would remain mysterious. God through his love of all will make it comforting and fearless. All diverse rituals would be respectful and not wrong. The love of God would become the religion and not the rivalry of diverse beliefs brought on by the judgment of them.
