The Plan

Far into the beyond and then beyond,
Where the imagination is the eyes,
Prudence the brains,
And courage the heart,
We plan each step along the way,
We humans who are Gods in the flesh,
Children of the grand master planner,
With earthly minds and calloused fingers,
Designers of what has been seen before,
Of what endured the trials and errors,
Of what became natural as time moved on,
That made us complaisant and immobile,
That tied up our arms and legs and minds,
That wore into our muscles and softened them,
That replaced the imagination with data,
As it moved into our houses
With commanding voices,
Not knowing our rebellion
Was about to rise up.

We are the new Gods of the times.
We plan with prudence as
Our way and our guide,
As the birds build their nests
And we visualize the future.
We have hearts like a lion
And minds like Nostradomus.
We are tenacious and strong.
We can plan our lives almost
As well as the God above the Gods,
The master planner whose
Plan has never and will never fail.
We are as perfect as we can get.
