The Inversion of Heaven

The inversion of Heaven, a blessed miracle
with earth overhead in a corrupted pinnacle

and heaven below where God is in control
as the high earth sits in its new abode

God as the efficient motivator in all our daily lives
and all the fighting and unrest up high in the skies

far from earthen activities are they up overhead
with their quest for power and to armies led

we earthen citizens satisfied with what we have
and to them in the sky we look up and laugh

lofted fools getting scorched by the blazing sun
and we cooled by the waters that we have swum

we on earth united with God and love
and they united with no one up above

we living as God made us to live
and they all for themselves with nothing to give

But what about life after death, the skyward ascension?
Would it be another inversion?
Or would we suffer with the others up high?
and join their armies and to them comply?

And then we would go back to how we were.

I'm such a dreamer I am.
