The Helping Man

The Helping Man

Such well chosen words came to me
As they filled my heart with hope.
The helping man came to my rescue
With what I needed last Sunday morning.

His words lifted me up from the bottom,
That unwanted place that I fell into
And for so many others such as I,
Us with our hope of prosperity gone.

He came to me with his head held high,
His pompous speech so out of touch.
He answered my plea
With artificial gibberish,
Prayers for mankind but not for me.

Mankind is a wild beast
With peace in mind as it
Searches for a
Peaceful satisfaction.

But since instinct rules,
Satisfaction becomes a
Peace that forever
Searches for itself.

The helping man ignores
Basic needs while
Trying to force
Instinct to become
Un-instinctive.
