Poetry in the Clouds

The calm rolling across the azure firmament
elevated sighs and images of heaven sent
breath of the Gods in half-way ascension
in picturesque settings for your attention

images of peace and peaceful stories
by the poets in skyborne inspirited glories
fire heated snowballs drifting in space
puffed up by the lungs of a behemoth race

images of a poetic life in the poetic world
of the glamor of words and rhetoric unfurled
the loosening of wrapped up anxious thoughts
drifting and dreaming and untying the knots

the pen of the clouds dipped in liquid velvets
and quiet flamencos and silent castanets
clamor becoming less until sound is just a sigh
a poem about the laziness of the quiet sky

a lullaby that drifts and sings to the earth
that melts the jagged cliffs since their day of birth
a portrait of the history of the earth and skies
with colors that circulate through the vivid highs

of imaginary shapes that become real to the poets
the ones who ride upon the quixotic sunsets
and wallow upon the clouds in dreams
and swim in the poetic streams
drifting, floating, singing, riding,
running, flying and– -– -–– -
