Jack-hammer Lullaby

Bang, crash, blam, rat-a-tat tat,
slam, bam, whop, crunch, whap!!!

Lullaby like the snow so gently falling,
like floating in the air soft voices calling.
Sleep me little baby to the soothing sound,
a silent lullaby with euphony all-around.

Kapow, kablam, ouch, rattle, jam,
nerve racking, crashing, wham, bam!!!

So soothing to the ear so soft and sweet
in keeping pace with the feathering beat,
of muted drums in calico sunsets
o’er lazy hillocks and bubbling rivulets.

Ouch, son-of-a, slam, flam, whang,
the earth hath shooken, the thunder rang,
teeth shaking, banging, whipper slay!!!
Jack-hammer lullaby with me forever stay.

Oh lovely melody flowing in my heart,
a lazy sonnet to an ascending Lark,
angelic wings in their flapping
softly in my quiet napping,
oh sweet sounding
oh sweet pounding,
sleep, sleep. sle-e-e-p -

I was woken up this morning by the sound of jack-hammering outside my window.
