In the Beginning

In the Beginning

God placed two lovers at arm’s length
With heated blood and a mustered strength
In the gleaming of my father’s eye
The angels strummed a lover’s lullaby
Henceforth, of natural causes and events
I arose as seed to blossom ascents

The world in my eyes was of virgin streams
My probing mind with perpetual dreams
I came of age to sense my father’s needs
A new life on earth from what heaven reads
My new son to start a new life again
Centuries upon centuries, no foreseeable end

My beginning was in my father’s sensing
In the beginning was when
Space materialized into matter
