Bring on the rains.
Twist the skies and make them scream.
Run them into an unfamiliar environment.
Send the thunder to wake up the azure skies.
Bring on the long-forgotten rains.
Intoxicate the stringent daffodils and
make them dance with pleasure.
Tap the lofted wine casks and release the wine.
Make it spread the joy to the sober fields.
Flood the crispy grounds with the
augmented rain drops, too heavy to hold.
Make them race with the lightning bolts.
Make the roses choke on the abundant waters.
Bring the flood beasts to kick up the ground.
Then tell them to go back home and sit still.
Round up the superfluous and the needy
and bring them into accord.
Weigh them on a scale.
Punish them for their disobedience.
Send the hell-fires back to their caves
and the rain beasts to their observation decks.
Level off the superfluous and the needy.
Weigh them with each need and
bring them to their contentment.
Put them in the hands and minds
of the Rain Gods who oversee
the needs and prayers of the Earth.
For this thy prayers will be answered.
