Augury of the Maples

Talking branches of the maple trees,
Swaying with the gentle Vernal breeze,
Speaking through maroon colored mouths,
Announce Spring’s arrival from their vows.

From dark red colors to a vibrant rich green,
They appear as the sun and warmth convene
And keep their colors throughout the days
Until the inundation of the Autumn haze.
Colors vary from the augury of the maples
As ensuing seasons inherit different labels.

I wrote this for the Belt and Beyond.
