Apocalyptic Rites

Apocalyptic Rites

Volcanoes moaning, spirits blazing
Crescent moon hiding, skies crazing
Moving to the dawn at the speed of sound
Swirling tempers go round and round

Deathly mazes offer ways to get out
Rage tears down fences with a giant shout
Frantic virgins dancing to the rites of dread
Trumpets calling up to the land of the dead

Devil’s blood running through red curtains
Screams of insanity from neurotic hurtains
Life’s a river flowing into the macabre
A door to the paradise without a knob

Come into our world of swirling masses
Of blackened sunrise and dying grasses
Lie at my feet and eat unholy carrion
Arise to the sound of shrieking clarion

The rites of the Apocalypse is at the fullest
Of bloody swords and wandering bullets
With life toward the end spinning out of control
Nowhere to go heading into a black hole
But arise my faithful ones to the sound of love
God is victorious as he sits on high above
Hello life again, hello faith again, hello love again
