Air on Fire

Torches burn in the daylight time
from the ire of the sun and air combined.
Dog days entrench in summer’s fare,
as August heats up without a care.

The tropics begin their northern travels
as the steady current up high unravels.
They disrupt the flow while settling in,
in favor of a new climate to begin.
The air is on fire and nothing we can do,
so we get up and jump in the water pool.
