A Thanksgiving Feast

A Thanksgiving Feast

Thank you Lord, for creating me in the image of you.  Thank you Lord, for the power of reasoning.  Thank you Lord, for making me superior over all animals and creatures that roam the earth.  Thank you Lord, for giving me the power to befriend them, enslave them, or consume them.  On this table lies that which I have slain to sustain my life.  I say to it in my heart.  “For the law that led you to me will also lead me to my own fate.  We will both submit ourselves to a mightier power in the waning seasons of our lives.  I have the authority to control your destiny.  I vow to use it to visit the altar in my soul as an act of worship; for that which is pure and innocent in you shall be also in me.”  Amen.
