A Tail Named Fido

A tail named Fido wagging its dog,
happy in the sun and happy in the fog,
dances to the polka, round and round
to a dizzy round about on the ground.

The sound of a dog banging against the wall
is a hound tightly wound like a basketball.
They bounce and hop like some drunken frogs,
as happy tails pounce and wag their dogs.

To teach a tail to sit up and speak
is a job and a half in a year and a week
as Fido wags his dog to get a treat,
“Good tail Fido you done good to me.”

Tails that wag their dogs are rare this day
and tails that do tricks, hip hip hurray.
Fido is amoung the best with his tricks,
wagging his dog at half past six.
Hurray for Fido as he wags his dog.
