A Plague Called Gossip

A Plague Called Gossip

I pray that when gossip pursues me with its deadly venom, I can escape from its bite.  It is a disease that attacks mankind and then later becomes a plague.  Those who can ward it off are free to live in a world of thought, truth, and affection, where gossip has no relevance.  Every unscrupulous mind thirsts for lies to come its way so it can add more to them.  Those who gossip call this intelligence; that their keen mind was able to find the truth that was made to cater to their appetite.  It is too late to atone for their sins, because lies can’t be retracted.  They are like the pollen that scatters with the wind and settles upon random fields far far away.
