Poetic In Heart

Echoes of Loneliness

The poem of longing and isolation

I’m tired of being nothing more,
A passing face, left at the door.
Called strange and distant, left alone,
But no one wonders why I roam.

Yes, I care too much, I try too hard,
Clinging to pieces that only scarred.
Loneliness wraps around each breath,
With no one to fill this endless depth.

I’m not desperate, just quietly torn,
Searching for someone who’d understand the worn.
Someone to stay, to see, to feel
The weight I carry, the hurt that’s real.

I give my all, and still, I’m left,
Ghosted, ignored, as if bereft.
I talk too much, it’s true, I know—
But that’s what silence will sow.

I put others first, overthink it all,
Yet I’m left in shadows, left to fall.
Maybe I’m too much, maybe too small,
Just wishing someone cared at all.

This poem is a raw reflection of feeling alone, even in a world full of people. It explores the heartache of constantly being seen as an option, the quiet desperation for someone to truly listen, and the vulnerability that comes with caring deeply. It’s a voice for anyone who feels misunderstood or left behind, yearning for someone who will see and understand them beyond the surface.
