12 score and 8 years ago
Our forefathers brought forth on this continent
a new nation, conceived in liberty
and dedicated to the proposition that
all men are created equal, and
shall receive equal justice under the law.
Now we are engaged in a great struggle,
testing whether that nation
or any nation so conceived and so dedicated
can long endure.
On the anniversary of this nation’s birth,
we must remember that
six unelected and unprincipled judges
have determined that “all men”
is not an applicable term,
where one man is invested with a title
created by Article II of the United States Constitution.
It was a complete abdication of their responsibilities
to reach such a misguided and dangerous conclusion.
But in a larger sense, we cannot accept
we cannot abide, we cannot allow
this ruling to become incorporated into the American experience.
The world will little note, nor long remember
the words written in this space, but it can never forget
the complete and utter travesty
which this decision represents.
It is for all loyal and patriotic Americans
to ensure that these findings were written in vain,
and that all executive actions henceforth
shall be of the people and for the people, and that
the rule of law shall not perish from the earth.
