now
more than ever I need her to realize
that I care for her
for all the things she’s done for me
at the end of life stage we are
stepping over the threshold
gingerly into the waiting lobby
I feel right now just to be with her
holding hands
my lover my beloved my finest friend
there for me at all times
and reminisce the good life
we had together.
just having a good time
without a care in the world

words not thrown lightly

more than ever I need her to realize
that I care for her truly
for all the things she’s done for me
