In Search of Pure Love

Here I am a daughter of God.
I search for a love to call my own.
I belonged to a mother, who felt,
she saw a child from a man,
a man that broke her heart,
rather than a child sent from God.

Tears that fell from my eyes,
how those tears fell many of times.
My tears were of loneliness and of spite.
I now say a prayer to God on High,
My being on this earth I asked God, Why?
Can there truly be a purpose in my life?

I am on a quest for untainted affection.
I am on a mission for unadulterated adoration.
I am in search for a Pure Love.

I am on a quest for unblemished affection.
I am on a mission for unadulterated admiration.
I am in search for a Pure Love.

I was so use to people putting me down.
I had become so numb inside.
I hope to one day find a love,
I want a love to see me for me each night.
I want you to see the good, bad, ugly and the pretty.
I want you to know who I am and love only me.

The man will pick me up when I am down,
He with one word will erase my frown.
Yes, with pure love all will be able.
Praying and sending all my demons to hell.
His name I won’t have to shout and scream,
Just a whisper of Jesus Christ will make evil fee.

I am on a pursuit for untainted affection.
I am on a mission for unadulterated adoration.
I am in search for a Pure Love.

This poem, I wrote in a place in my life in which, I felt with my mother. She and I in my adult life have become so close and I love her and my children with all my heart. I think some people can relate that in your teenage years, parent and child can drift apart and then come together after you experience life as an adult yourself. MCD
