if you love to write then write
and write with all your might,
if you love to write then write
and write with all your might,
never let yourself be beaten
by words that try to fight,
persist and reign victorious
and saddle the phrase and turn,
paint a verbose art so glorious
it matters to all who are concerned,

I am a 27-year-old Christian (the modern term for Follower of the Way). Some bands that I've drawn inspiration from include Demon Hunter, Skillet, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, All That Remains and War of Ages. I write lyrical poems, which I have been writing since I was 12 years old. A lot of my lyrics are based on life views and experiences, as well as struggles regarding my Christian faith. I am not ashamed and I will not shy away from admitting to my faith. I hope that my lyrics might open up solutions to readers that can relate to my lyrics. Thank you and God bless.
I love poetry. I write poetry based on my experience in life and love and the songs I listen to. I first started writing for school, but I'm literally addicted to poetry now. It's my escape. I have been through so many things in my life I should not have had to go through, especially since I'm only 14. But it all comes out in my poetry. I love watching crime shows like Criminal Minds and NCIS. I'm obsessed with TV news reports about such things as crime, train derailments, car accidents, and fires. It's just the way I am. They say music, especially rock music, takes away your pain, whether it be physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental. I learned it's not true. It just makes it better temporarily, but then makes it worse.

Classic rock, heavy metal and pop punk fan. Journey and Bon Jovi are life. Green Day saved me. Working on poetry now. Will post when completed.
Back after such a long long time!! Things really do change!! Please don't expect good grammar, academic ability etc etc. school was a no go but...there always is one...my writings are as and when, easy, with words everyone understands...else...what's the point right?! ....in hindsight...maybe the point is "if I don't understand, I could try?!" but will I ... I'm no Bukowski...but the fact that I know of and Love his guts/writing/rebellion says it all. School....overrated "if you don't want your book to be judged by its cover...should you really write one?" Questions always gratefully received, my answers might not be" Music/book/film fiend...for fun! "it's just a ride" *Bill Hicks ABOVE ALL ELSE...MY LITERARY HERO..."The edge, there is no honest what to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones that have gone over" *Hunter. S. Thompson
I have been an introverted writer/artist ever since I was a little girl no more than five years old living in a place where i felt i was not allowed to express myself. My imagination was my heaven, my domain, my escape, my serene place and my laboratory to brew the ideas in my soul. As I got older I started to do talent shows here and there, but I always perceived being critiqued as being judged and made fun of. As a result I did not consistently practice and follow through with striving to do my best work or constantly attempting to polish and refine my craft because I was filled with fear. I am no longer fearful. Feedback? Bring it on. Constructive criticism? I am ready for you. Namaste.
