Contemplations 6

In the flicking of a camera lens
What do you think they’ll see? Depends
On the guidance from your compass and
What kind of life you live.
They say Lady Liberty’s blind
But she’s sure got presence of mind
To know you have got to take
When you have nothing left to give.
But she sings of change, I’ve heard her
Flights of fancy and of murder,
Songs that fill the air with sirens
And the ground with those who died.
Be careful of those boys in Blue,
Yeah you might lose an eye or two
But eagles only have two wings:
You have to pick a side.
