Levi Carter

Onward

I walk into the sunset while watching it fade away across the skyline.
The sky is full of colors such as blue, yellow, and strawberry wine.
I’m happy the day is over and everything will begin to cool off.
I think I might be able to drink an entire full water trough.
I miss my baby as I walk onward with not clue on what to do on my mind.
Maybe I might get lucky and get something of rare find.
I don’t wish for any sort of luck but instead blessings to move forward.
So maybe my journey will end early rather than push onward.

(2014)

i was looking over my poems and noticed i accidentally published the same poem twice under the wrong name. heres the real poem for the title.
