Cons of Affection
People always love people who don’t love them.
When rejected to their minds they condemn.
When rejected the rejecter does not see damage.
Or what is left of their heart they have to salvage.
People have faith that they will want to change.
But they are disappointed and have to rearrange.
Their emotions to show toughness to be expressed.
But inside all they end up being is upset and depressed.
I’m tired of building myself up and being torn down.
Where my heart goes from happy to sleeping astound.
I give someone everything but doesn’t want my anything.
I feel like just shutting down from affection and everything.
It seems nobody appreciates what I put effort in to.
So writing the next girl I like a love poem is the last thing I will do.
