Leighann Hall

Dear Friend

To a once forgotten friend

As the sliver shining moon enters my room
He smiles a forgotten smile
His smile coats my room with truth and joy

He stays for a while comforting and calm
But when the blissful evening comes an end he leaves—
With a promise to return tomorrow

Day returns to night and no sign of my dear friend
Tranquility turns to frustration
And the day will never see another blissful night
