another day

nothing here.
sky a lint colored
marmalade.
outside a man
in a blue tee shirt
walks against muted green.
rain forbearance,
our ancestors faceless,
lost and neglected, ticketed.
I sit in the chair.
the clang and incandescence
of death,
a final
and simple analogy
rings, replies
as armies march, they always march,
a shadow empty and cold
as our bonfire
of indifference blazes.
another day.
school girls in the street.
they laugh
gently spinning
a mockery
in triumph over
the stale
blue
melody of death.
