I wanted to be more then just a provider, more then just a means to get you through your life .
I wanted to be a father figure to your boys, and wanted us to be husband and wife .
But wants won’t take you anyplace, a hard lesson Ive now found to be true . Because my wants mean absolutely nothing, unless you want this too?
I don’t wish to clip your wings, I’ve only wanted you to soar . But now I’m scared you’ll fly away, to never circle back no more .
If that’s to happen? If this love gets put to rest . Please know with all my heart, I’ve tried my very best .
